I finally finished this shawl recently. Can you believe it took me over two months to knit? I am a quick knitter by nature, but have been so busy with work that I am lucky if I have time or energy to knit more than two to three days a week! This does pain me as I knit to stay sane, however, I am confident that things will start slowing down sooner or later. Hopefully sooner!
The pattern is Bowerbird by Cath Ward. I received the pattern free and could not wait to knit it up. I used Knit Pick’s Gloss Fingering yarn in Sterling, Hawk and Kanai. It knit up so soft and squishy…I wore it all week at work!
I do have a problem, though. Since finishing this, I am having a hard time trying to decide what to knit next. It’s not that I lack the yarn or patterns, I am just not sure what I am in the mood to knit. Normally, my needles are clicking in a flurry of stitches to finish up Christmas knitting for gifts. Alas, I did absolutely zero gift knitting this year. Zero. Again, time has not been on my side.
Speaking of flurry of stitches, we have been getting so much snow so far this year! I wish I could post the live picture on loop so you could actually see the snow falling! Sure is beautiful, but cold. Well, Buffalo hasn’t had a white Christmas for several years now (believe it or not). Maybe, just maybe, this year will be different!
